Founder Laila Hasanovic grew up surrounded by the quiet aesthetics of the North, where beauty is often defined by simplicity, soft tones, and a natural sense of balance.

From an early age, she noticed how something as simple as a natural glow could shift the way you feel - bringing a subtle sense of confidence and ease. After more than a decade working within the fashion and beauty industry, she developed her own approach to creating that glow: natural, soft, and never excessive.

NRD55 was born from that idea.

Red Willow Extract

Red willow extract is one of the ingredients that connects our formula to its Scandinavian roots.

Sourced and processed in Denmark, it comes from the bark of the red willow tree (Salix purpurea), a plant traditionally valued for helping support the skin’s natural balance.

In our formula, red willow extract helps support the skin barrier and contributes to a balanced skin environment while your tan develops.

Like everything we create, its inclusion is intentional - a carefully selected ingredient that works with the skin, not against it, to support a natural-looking glow.

Like every element in our formula, it is chosen with intention - supporting an effortless application and a natural-looking finish.

DHA (Dihydroxyacetone)

DHA is the active ingredient that allows a self-tan to develop.

It works by gently reacting with the outermost layer of the skin to gradually create a natural-looking colour - without the need for sun exposure.

As the formula develops over time, it creates a soft, sun-kissed tone that looks balanced and even on the skin.

Like every ingredient in our formulas, DHA works with the skin’s surface to enhance your natural glow in a way that feels effortless.
